A LightRaider who qualifies can become one of the coolest roles, a BearKnight, gets a talking Brown Bear for a partner from the OverLord. If their Bear is killed they cannot get a new one.

The Bear can carry a rider (like a horse) and the BearKnight is one of the few LightRaiders to use a lance (the other is the WindRider). The Bear can weigh 1,700 lbs. and stand on his hind legs and be 10 feet tall. They eat lots of time scarfing plants, berries, worms, grubs, and red meat.

Bears are only afraid of dragons and havea Courage of 10, a Endurance of 8, and Listening of 7. They are also the strongest AnimalPartner.
