Journals for the Last Week:
March 14, 2007 (Wednesday)
Adding to the level of easiness for the day I do not have apostolics. This is due to the older kids having confirmation, so I get the night off. I love to do apostolics, but it is always nice to not have to attend because Saint Joseph is so far away and it gets me back at around 9pm. Our self evaluations were due today and I turned in a seven page one with of course asking to continue my studies here next year.
March 13, 2007 (Tuesday)
Today was an easy day which started off with me sleeping, then going to Gambinos, then more sleep, and then a conference with Father Benedict. Yes today was a very good day I just wish all my other days here could be so laid back.
March 12, 2007 (Monday)
With our spring break being so far away I decided to approach this week as one. I can do this because Father McManus is again gone to Rome, so the Latin work will be no more for this week. I should be able to do the work for the other classes over this weekend and quickly get caught back up. At this point I feel like I need a break so much so why not just go ahead and take an unofficial one.
March 11, 2007 (Sunday)
After lunch we had our monthly Knights of Columbus meeting. Here we discussed how close we are to reaching star council. In the area of church we are hoping to have a Eucharistic Procession later in the school year. Andy is heading this one up, but of course when you are messing with the Benedictines things must take there time, so I am not for sure if this will actually happen or not. For supper I ended up going out with a few guys to Applebees. This was my first visit back here in some time, but the food was OK as usual.
March 10, 2007 (Saturday)
There was much of nothing going on here this weekend. It is always good to be able to say that. Mass today was celebrated by a bishop which was a required event at 11:15am. After Mass I was free for the day, and I used this to my advantage.
March 9, 2007 (Friday)
Today after classes were over everyone was left getting things ready for the Board of Regents. Bishop Kurtz was unable to attend this year. Since being here Bishop Kurtz has always made the first meeting, but missed the one that took place in second semester. Since I did not have a bishop here I ended up being a waiter for the event. After the banquet was over they met and I checked my mail to see if I got a deficiency. Thankfully my mailbox is empty, so I am safe with my grades until the end of the year.
March 8, 2007 (Thursday)
Today was a busy day thanks to class, a community council meeting, and Latin homework. At the community council meeting we made an attempt at setting the future of Operation Stewardship. From what we drew up it looks like this program could be much better for next year, and most importantly reflect the true meaning of what stewardship is better. Mass today was celebrated by the Bishop of Pueblo, Colorado.
