As Rogers grew more obsessed with destroying King Friday, his behavior became more erratic and delusional. In the week before the shooting, a wild-eyed Rogers told McFeely and several other co-workers that "the King shall taste the tiger's fury." Dismissed at that time as the meaningless product of an irrational mind, the statement took on more ominous meanings with the publication of this photo, which shows Rogers brandishing both the rifle and Daniel Striped Tiger, the annoyingly timid resident of the Neigborhood clock tower. Synthetic fur fibers found in the trigger mechanism of the gun recovered from the Texas School Book Depository suggest that the puppet may have actually pulled the trigger.
