My first true love -- we threw caution to the wind and ignored the We Bite signs to declare our mutual affection! (early 1970's, Catskill Game Farm, NY)
My only surviving kid equestrian picture (thank goodness) -- Mom snuck up and snapped this one of Welsh pony Leda and me as we warmed up before a show. Yes, I really *did* know how to sit up straight! (Late 1970's)
Here's Prairie Doll and Daisy Duke waitin' 'longside de road for de General Lee! (7/20/96)
Dolly loves to jump, but I doubt she'd ever take a 6 footer. She *does* do a fantastic job cutting off runaway horses! (9/21/96)
Comical front views of the future Olympic 3 Day Eventers (hey, we can dream)! (9/97)
This picture is significant in that you finally get a closeup of my face, but it also marks the beginning of a decade of academia, to the detriment of my horses and music!(Early 80's)
It's dreams like this that kept me going all those years -- now I finally have my horse! Here's Juliette cavorting with a few friends... (Summer 1997)
My best buddy the last 10 years has been Dusty, caped crusader, watchcat, and professional yawner!
(Summer 1997)
My love of horses extends to all furry creatures. This
spotted deer was my pal at Catskill game farm. (early 1970's)
Here's me feeding a cracker to Elisabeth, the now oldest documented deer in Michigan, at 21 years of age.
In 1967, a shot doe was dentally aged at 20.5 years, so
this year Elisabeth officially set the record. (July 1998)
McGary is a family name, so if this
Dave in Colorado can trace his way back to Pennsylvania,
we're related! (Nice sculpture! circa 1997,1998)
One of my lovely work photos, taken sometime in 1998. Somehow they always seem like mug shots!
But hey, the shot above beats this winner from 1995!
