Heiali is linebred Alibhai(Hyperion) 3 times and Nasrullah twice, with a little Count Fleet and Man o' War thrown in for good measure!

To trace her pedigree even further, see this site: http://www.equineinfo.com/horseracing/sirelines.htm

To understand how these roots relate to Holsteiner, see the Dark Ronald Connection, on the Holsteiner website: http://www.holsteiner.com/imp3.html

My quick perusal found that she traces back to the famous "Dark Ronald" 4 times! This Thorougbred ancestor, highly revered by the warmblood community, is indicated in the pedigrees above with **DR**. Classic Touch, gold medal winner in the Barcelona Olympics, also has 4 crosses to Dark Ronald. Other ancestors in the first column are Count Fleet, Fair Play, Gainsborough, Hyperion, Man O'War, Nasrullah, Nearco, Polynesian (sire of Native Dancer), Son-in-Law, and Unbreakable. She's related to Bold Ruler, Cornish Prince, Mr. Prospector, Nantallah, Nashua, Native Dancer, Nearctic, Northern Dancer, Raise a Native, War Relic, and What a Pleasure.

Contact me regarding pictures of Dark Ronald, Alibhai, Nasrullah, Nasrullah's son Bold Ruler, Count Fleet, Polynesian, Man O' War, Ladykiller, and Landgraf I.

Stories about Juliette's ancestor Count Fleet can be found at: http://www.thoroughbredtimes.com/tc98/history/winners/countfleet/default.asp and at: http://www.frontpageaccess.com/bloodhorse2/count_fleet.html

Count Fleet won by the second longest winning margin at Belmont (after Secretariat): http://www.nyracing.com/belmont/belstakes/rectrad.html

Pictures of Juliette's racing ancestors were found at: http://www.pimlico.com/!

Heiali's sire Out of the East was no slouch, winning $246,105 in the 1970's!

Heiali got 1 First, 2 Seconds, and a Third before retiring to be a broodmare.

JULIETTE'S SIBLINGS

Heiali's babies have been (as best I've gathered):

By He's a Royal Fool, black Appaloosa stallion:

1) Royal Silhouette (colt, nickname Silly), b. 1989?.

By Catch a Vision, Appy grand prix jumper (3/4 TB w/Secretariat, 1/4 Appaloosa) Stallion:

2) Illusive Majic (colt, nickname Rambo), b. 1990?, Dk Bay w/snowflake blanket and huge irr. star.

He's eventing for Jacques Dulcy of the French Olympic Team, and is so far at CCI** level!

3) Identical Copy (filly, copy of her mother) b. 1991?, Dk Bay, small star. Owned by a 12 year old girl.

Bonnie just reported (9/28/98) that Copy "competed at a recognized horse trials here in Calif last week. She was 4th at training level in a big group with her young rider. "

By Con Brio, Holsteiner Stallion:

4) A very nice colt (b. 1992?) who was a phenomenal mover. Sadly lost in a freak pasture accident as a yearling.

By Lemgo, Holsteiner Stallion:

5) Laser Jet (colt, nickname Lancelot, a jumping star of his auction), b. 1993, Bay, hind leg sock and star. Now owned by Lisa Haisfield in Aspen, Colorado! Just talked to her over the phone 10/2/98 -- brother and sister are *so* similar. He's going to be an eventer too, now!

Laser JetLaser Jet, at about 6 months of age (10/93)

Laser Jet 98Laser Jet's closeup in 1998!

6) Juliette (filly, my baby!), b. 5/11/94, Bay, dark fist sized neck spot and crescent moon star. Also little white lightning streaks behind the front legs!

By Sabotage, Holsteiner Stallion:

7) Samurai (colt, nickname Sparky), b. 11/4/95, very dark bay, star and two small socks behind. Quoting Wendy, "Big stride and an 'in your lap' type personality. Should mature around 16.1. Also his free jumping is spectacular! Lots of engine (substantial hindquarters - maybe from Silbersee??)." Sparky has been sold to a gentleman (works for Oracle?) who trains with Richard Spooner, and they are aiming for the IJF.

By Sucramonte, Holsteiner Stallion (stallion has died):

8) Muppet (filly, still with breeder Wendy Webster), b. 1997, Bay with hind leg sock and star.

By Landmarck, Holsteiner Stallion:

9) Noodles (filly), born June 1998!

By Oskar, a flaxen maned liver chestnut Grand Prix jumping Holsteiner. He won 2 grand prix at Spruce Meadows in 1996 during the same week for about $200,000 in prize money. 10) Orchidee (filly), born July 2, 1999! Bay, no white, "gorgeous face with very long eye lashes. Long, long legs which she uses to try and elude her mother when she sprints around the pasture. She also is the biggest eater of any foal Missy ever had so I have upped the mare's grain considerably. "

Heiali (Missy) has been retired from breeding after Orchidee, and grazes happily with a now permanent pasturemate. The losses of her babies, year after year, were taking a toll on her .....

I would love to hear from any of Juliette's siblings' owners or trainers!
