Our friend has during the Oval Finals in Calgary skated a new World Junior Record !!!! At the 3000 metres the Dutch Skatingcanon set a time of: 3.48.56 , which was good for a 5th place ranking, just behind big skating names like Roberto Sighel and Bart Veldkamp
This was all happening during the night of Friday March 19 to Saturday the 20th (Dutch time) when entire Holten tuned in to videotext and a cheering from thousands of people arose from this normally so nice and silent village !
You will believe it or not, but also on the 5 kilometres Mark was inimitable and het skated a time of 6.33.26 another WORLDRECORD!!!!!
Entire Holten thought he would be eshausted by these two achievements, but on Sunday he proved the opposite, he skated faster than any junior ever had on this planet and he ended the weekend with another WORLDRECORD at the 1500 metres. The skatingmile was completed by Tuitert in an unlikely time of 1 minute, 48 seconds and 45 hundredths of a second!!!!
