1975 February 2 - Cape Coral - A 9 foot tall hairy creature was seen by Mr. Richard Davis. He shot at the creature but was reluctant to shoot it again for it looked too human.

1975 February 3 - Cape Coral - Richard Davis once again saw the skunkape.  This time it was 2:00 AM when he heard bumping noises outside of his home.  He went outside to investigate and came face to face with a 9 ft. tall furry bipedal creature.  He shot at the thing with a .22 pistol, and it ran off into the woods.  His dog, a brave German shepherd,.  hid under the garage frightened and would not come out. 

1975 February 12 - Live Oak - Not much ever happens around sleepy little town of Live Oak, Florida.  But on February 12, Mrs. Susanne Thompson saw a tall hairy upright creature a short distance away from property lights.  She reported this strange animal to the fish and game commission. 

1975 February  - South of Gainesville - Steve Voreh was driving down Williston road around 5 mi. south of Gainesville.  He drove over a hill and slammed his breaks skidding into an 8 ft. tall, human looking creature, covered with brown hair.  The creature fell to the ground but immediately got up.  Mr. Voreh then grabbed his handgun and shot the creature four times in the chest.  Although he was at point blank range, and used a .38 revolver, the creature turned and fled on two legs. 

1975 March 6  - Near Lake Okeechobee - Another skunkape was hit by a motorist on the night of March 6, 1975.  Mr. And Mrs. Steve Humphreys were driving on the road at 11:20 PM when they came up on a bridge and saw a large  man-like creature walk out in front of their car.  They tried to avoid hitting the creature but could not. The creature ran off two legs.  The Humphry's car had front fender and door damage.  Hair was also found and sent off for analysis.  No final conclusion came from the hair samples.

1975 March 14 - Near Brooksville - Something ran across highway 41 near Brooksville, Florida. Of course that "something" was the skunkape. The woman traveler saw the thing as it loped across the road in front of her car on two legs. It was big and covered with dark hair.

1975 March 24 - Dade County - A very disturbing incident was reported to authorites by Lawrence Groom and Michael Bennet. The two men were driving in their car in the Black Point area of Dade County. This is a mangrove swamp area just outside of Miami, Florida. What they saw next, they would never forget. They saw an 8 to 9 foot tall "ape-like man" rocking a blue Chevy pick-up truck with an hysterical man screaming inside the vehicle. The creature was very upset and angered. The man inside the pickup truck finally got out of the truck and ran for his life. When Groom's headlights hit the creature, the creature ran off into the swamp.

1975 March - Near Brooksville - It was common for police to recieve calls from Brooksville residents about the skunkape in the mid 70's. This time a Mrs. Morrison reported a 5 to 6 foot tall man-like creature covered in hair that was eating oranges off of a tree. The creature had incredible strength as it broke 4 inch diameter limbs. Mrs. Morrison had seen the creature many times before. Also strange animal deaths have been blamed on the beast: chickens, dogs and cattle have been a few of the victims. Strange myesterious screams have been heard in the night as well.

1975 May - West Palm Beach - Several children were playing when their hapiness was interrupted by a terrible creature. Investigators found nothing.

1975 July - Near Brooksville - Church goers also saw the famed skunkape. This time three people were returning from church and traveling down higfgway 581 when they saw a hairy man-like creature standing in  a ditch. They say the creatire must have stood 7 feet tall.

1975 July 21 - Brooksville - The skunkape was seen once again crossing the road in front of a motorist. The woman traveler gave the common description of the creature to local authorities. She was traveling down US-41.

1975 July 25 - Brooksville - Something followed two men who were walking down highway 581. The two men were walking at around 1 AM and sensed they were being followed. Something large was crashing through the woods and there was a terrible stench in the air.

1975 August - Near Brooksville - A man was mowing his pasture just as the sun was setting on his Brooksville farm. When he looked up from his mowing he noticed a large hairy, ape-like creature observing him from the edge of the pinewoods.

1975 August 14 - North Ft. Myers - Three boys were playing outdoors when suddenly they were chased by a skunkape. They ran in to tell their mother (Mrs. John M.) and she quickly gathered the story from her boys. They said the creature had been eating a bird. They say that the creature was about 4 to 5 feet tall and was covered with hair all over. They also added that the creature had a terrible odorl.

1975 November - Citrus County - John Sohl encountered an entire family of skunkapes in an area just north of Homosassa Springs. He described the three skunkapes as being 8 feet tall, 6 feet tall and 5 feet tall. He says that the 6 foot tall creature had breasts. Sohl left the area and went to get his camera with the idea of photographing the skunkapes. Upon his return he encountered onn of the creatures (possibly the larger one) just 2 feet away! As his camera flash went off the skunkape grabbed and tossed Sohl away. Sohl flew 15 feet through the air. As he looked up the creature fled into to the woods. Nothing good showed on the film.

1975 - Near Venice - A young man was walking on Havana Road near the Blackburn Canal at night. With the beam of his flashlight, he caught a glimpse of an ape-like creature near the end of Havana Road. The creature saw the youngster, turned and walked away slowly on two legs.

1975 - Venice - The Venice Sheriff's department recieved phone calls about two boys who were chased by a skunkape. The boys were riding their bicycles when suddenly the creature came out of the woods and chased them.

1975 - Near Venice - Construction workers saw a skunkape staring at them as they worked. The men were pourinig a concrete slab when they noticed the large hairy ape-like creature. When the creature noticed it has been spotted it turned and ran. The men gave chased and eventually caught another glimpse of it before losing it for good.

1975 - Polk County - The quiet community of Polk County woke up to some incredible news.  A man driving down a road claims to have hit a tall, bulky, guerrilla type creature.  He says the creature was carrying an arm load of corn.  He reported the incident to the Polk County sheriff's department.  

1975 - Polk County - Polk County was soon a hotbed for skunkape reports.  A man who was in the Green Swamp area found 15 in. man like tracks in the area near an orange grove.  Investigators were called to the scene. 

1975 - Polk County - A woman saw a creature running at this speed of a horse. She describes the creature as running in a crouched position.  The creature was tall and had flowing hair on its head and shoulders.  

1975 - Near Laurel - Two girls were camping in the Laurel area but there camping adventure was cut short by a large hairy hunched over creature. The creature walked on two legs and was ape-like.  The girls were scared and ran off. 

1975 June 5 - Venice - 12 year old Ronnie Stevens saw a tall black to brown hairy creature twice in one day. He says the creature was at least 6 ft. tall.  He first saw it chasing his pet ducks.  The next time he saw it, it was 100 yards away.  The creature had bowed a 6 ft. tall chain link fence.  Investigations of the area found no tracks.

1975 Late - Near Brooksville - The creature was back in the Brooksvile area.  Eyewitness Joyce Hudson's step brother said that he saw a tall dark brown creature jump out a bank on Croom Road.  The creature was at least 8 ft. tall.  It ran and disappeared into an orange grove. 

1970's mid - Coral Springs - Two brothers in the Coral Springs area saw a large black human like creature standing near a large tree that had a branch 18 inches in diameter hanging over a dirt bike trail.  The creature was grunting and making noises then snapped the branch at its base.  The creature, obviously disturbed by the trespassers, ran off into the woods leaving a path of destruction with small trees laying on the ground.

1976 and earlier - Dunellon - For the past five years, and elderly man claims to have seen a tall,  ape-like creature around his property.  He has also found three toad footprints on several occassions.  Talking with neighbors, he has learned that they also have seen the creature on a few occassions and have shot it with .22 caliber rifles. 

1976 January 17 - (location unknown) - Two girls were camping at night when they saw a large hair covered creature.  The creature had shiny green eyes.  When it was observed it ran away on two legs. (This may be the same story as the above entry of 1975 in Laurel, Florida.)
