1973 October 25 - Broward County - It was getting close to Halloween but nothing could prepare Danny L. and 7 other teenagers for what they were about to see. Not too far from were Mike Polesnek's cattle animals were attacked (see previous sighting), this grouop of young people saw a big, hairy, animal like creature which stood 7 feet tall jump from the porch of an unfinished building and dissapeare running off.

1973 November - Near Brooksville - As Nancy and Debbie K. were traveling down highway 476, they saw a strange creature standing in a pasture not too far from the Kelly farm. They describe the creature as being a large, greyish, and ape-like in appearance. The Brooksville area would be visited many more times by the skunkape.

1973 - East of Punta Gorda - Two men had a very scary incident when they saw a large creature walk out of the fog toward their car. The creature was hairy and man-like in appearance. The men froze in fear as the thing peered at them through the window of the vehicle. They say that the creature had green cat like eyes and smelled like a skunk. They also claim the coloring was greyish.

1973 - West of Brooksville - Richard W. and some friends were having a hot dog roast one day when Richard's sister saw a terrible looking being staring at her from the woods. She had gone to the car to get something when she noticed the thing at the edge of a clump of trees. It was 7 to 8 feet tall, had dark brown hair and was man like. She said that whenever she would move, it would move and whenever she stopped, it would stop. She finally gave in to all of her fears and screamed. As she ran back to the group she could hear the creature run off in the opposite direction and she said it sounded like a horse.

1973 Late - Hollywood - A truck driver had to pull over to change a flat tire about 6 mles west of US hwy 27. While changing the tire he was approached by a tall, hairy, ape-like creature. Later on footprints were found on the scene by a state trooper.

1974 January 9 - Immokalee - Terrence Craigsmith once again had trouble in the farmlands. A pony was killed by a tall hairy man-like creature. The creature was shot at but aparently missed. The creature had killed the pony, jumped a fence, and ran off into the night.

1974 January 9 - Richard Lee Smith, age 35,  was traveling in his Cadillac early on the morning of Jan. 9. He was traveling south on US Hwy 27 near Krome Avenue. The time was about 12:40 A.M. when he suddenly came up on what he thought was a large black man wearing a dark coat and dark clothing. He inadverdently hit the man and slammed his breaks immediately realizing what had just happened. As he opened the door and got out to check on the man he noticed that it was no man at all. The creature he struck was 7 to 8 feet tall, covered in long black hair and it walked upright man-like. The creature grimaced in pain and yelled at Smith in anger. Smith ran back into his car and sped off. Smith notified authorites and a search was on. Examination of Smith's vehicle showed right front end damage and some blood stains. Officer Robert Hollemeyal was dispatched to the area to investigate. Hollemeyal soon saw a tall hairy creature standing on the road in front of him. He stopped his patrol car and yelled out at the creature. The creature did not respond at first. He said the the thing was bulky, strong and stood on two the whole time. He yelled a the creature again and this time the creature charged a stunned Hollemeyal. Hollemeyal shot at the thing and it then ran off into the nearby swamp. Soon more reports began to come into police of the area of motorists spotting a large hairy ape-like creature running around. A dog, petrified in fear, was also found on the highway and putrid odor was in the air. The dog stared at the swamp in a low growl all the time. Soon as the sun came up a massive man hunt was being organized. Local news channel 7 even had a helicopter in the air in search of the mysterious being. The helicopter spotted a hairy ape-like creature, massive in size running through the swamp below. Residents of south Florida were waking up on the 10th looking at these images. The creature was wide at the shoulders, ran on two the entire time, was covered in black long hair, and had a silver or white stripe down the center of the back. It dissapeared into some heavy brush not to be seen again. The skunkape was now famous.

1974 March 1 - North of Brooksville - A man near the Kelly farm saw a creature near a trash pile. The man shone his flashlight at the thing which looked up and then slowly walked away. The ape-like creature was big. The man saw a side and back view of the thing as it left.

1974 March 11- North of Brooksville - A couple were traveling down highway 476 near the Kelly farm. It was night time, and the couple by the names of Romona and Duane Hibner, saw 3 hairy ape-like creatures investigating a trash pile. The creatures appeared to be eating things they were finding in the pile.

1974 April - Near Brooksvillel - Two 7 ft. tall black, hairy, bipedal creatures were seen standing in some woods.  Two men observed these beasts. The two men worked at the Seven Hills Nursery off a highway 98. The creature observed the two from the woods before disappearing back into the woods. 

1974 April - Near Brooksville - Once again the skunkape visited the Kelly Place off of highway 476.  And once again it was Duane Hibner who saw the dark, hairy, guerrilla-like creature. He claims that the creature was at least 8 ft. tall, 4 ft. wide across at the shoulders, and massively built.

1974 Early June - White Horse key, Ten Thousand Islands - Footprints measuring 18 in. in length were found during low tide at midnight while two men were Mullet fishing.  Victor Robinson found the human like prints which were much larger than his size eleven boot.  The stride was also very large, at 4 - 5 feet.
