RULES: There are 10,000 possible points from the items in the list below. In addition to these items, there are 26 specially marked cards hidden in Sandy Hill. Each card is worth face value x 10 points, with Aces worth 1 and Kings worth 13. Twenty-two of these cards are hidden underneath wooden benches or underneath the seats of picnic tables. At 18:30 sharp, and lasting until 18:35 only, there will be an announcement from the Odyssey Theatre stage in the northeast corner of Strathcona Park for the specific location of four high-value cards.
You have until 7:30 to get as many items as possible. You must arrive as a complete team to the final destination (414 Nelson Street) by that time or you will lose 50 points for every minute you are late.
Don't worry if you don't have the exact items - your creativity will be rewarded with partial points when deserved.
The team that brings in the most cards (by number, not by point value) will get a 200 point bonus. Similarly, if any team gets a Royal Flush in either of the two suits (hearts or spades), a 200 point bonus will be awarded.
Some items (#72 - #80) will be voted upon by all teams, and points will be awarded to the top three teams only. Bonus points are awarded for many other items, as noted, and elsewhere for "creativity above and beyond the call of duty" at the judge's discretion.
Have a good time, and try not to slip on the ice (we lost a team from York a few years ago because of that) - and don't be late!
