Valarie Schweitzer is a freshman at Crown Point High School, where she started at the 3 position on the 16-3 JV Lady Bulldogs. She has been playing Crown Point AAU basketball since the fifth grade. Although small for her position, Valarie makes up for any lack of size in physique with an overabundance of size in basketball heart. Quick and tough as nails, Valarie consistently draws the toughest defensive assignments for our AAU team. With seven graduating seniors moving on from this year's CPHS Lady Bulldogs roster, Valarie has a great opportunity for moving up to the varsity level next year.
Personal Career Highlights

Valarie's career highlights include the following:
  • starting on the Crown Point High School junior varsity team that went 16-3 this past high school season
  • member of both the 8th Grade Division Team Champion and the Five-on-Five Division Team Champion at the 1997 Hoosier State Games.
  • member of the Division II AAU state championship team last year, which tallied wins over Indiana's Finest and Indiana Pride
  • being named Champ for both the One-on-One and Three-on-Three competitions at the Valparaiso University Girls Basketball Camp
  • member of the Three-on-Three championship team at the Hoosier State Games in 1996
  • leading scorer for the 1995 Crown Point Tigers 11U AAU team
Goals for the Upcoming Season

Valarie's goals for the upcoming season include using her right hand more, attacking the basket, not being tentative shooting the ball, improved talking/communicating with teammates on the floor, and getting along with everyone.
