WAVESKI SURFARI 2001
The inaugural Waveski Surfari 2001 will take place from 13 – 16 July 2001 and will be a surf tour of any and all conceivable working surfing breaks between Port Elizabeth and George. Entries are limited to eight for transportation and crowd reasons. The cost per person is R450.00 but before you cry shock, horror and rage, this fee includes all transport, accommodation AND food for the four days. Accommodation will, of necessity, be tents in camping sites but the preselected sites are of good quality and hygiene. Transport will be a partially sponsored air-conditioned VW Microbus 2.5 with a waveski trailer kindly lent to the organizers by EP Waveski. Two organizers have kindly lent their culinary and camping equipment but entrants will expected to provide the following basics:
Tent (Light two man dome type is best)
Sleeping bag and camping bed
Clothing, towels and toiletry goodies
Pikstel and dishwash
Fold-up chair
Camera and/or Video Camera
Waveski, paddle & wetsuits (Duh!!)
Ding repair kit
Lots of anti-hangover (Red Bull, Essentiale, etc)
Yourself and a good attitude (no moaners!)
Gerhard Kriel has kindly volunteered his culinary skills (as long as the rest of us wash up) and has prepared a scrumptious menu for the four days. Only one more space is available. The other seven have already been snapped up.
