PHOTO ALBUM 1

Although the above photo is more than ten years old, I still regard it as a quintessential waveski photo. It embodies the free spirit of waveski surfing. The surfer is Ronnie Ackerman, the break is Avalanche, Port Elizabeth, the photographer was Andrew Honey of Freewind Publications. Enjoy!

Craig Seale bashing the lip at J-Bay. Dan Prata was the photographer, in the water with a simple water-resistant 110mm Instamatic snapshot camera! Incredible!

Marius Du Plessis spreading his wings at J-Bay. The photographer was Erwin Harvey.

Roger Buck of Australia attacking the Nahoon Reef bowl at the '93 World Champs in East London. By the way, he made the section - I took the photo.

Mike Fourie showing the style that won him the '93 World Seniors Title at Nahoon Reef, East London. Photographer was myself.

An example of the days when aesthetics outweighed practicality. A collector's piece.

Grant Kendrick taking the mickey out of certain individuals at the '93 Worlds at Nahoon, who refused to take on the notorious bowl without Gath helmets firmly attached.

The South African National Team which travelled to Australia for the 1997 World Titles.

The Finalists in the 1999 Imperial Car Rental/PE Splash Festival Waveski Classic. From L - R: Craig Seale (EP)(1st), Ronnie Ackerman (EP)(3rd), Michael Cowan (Bor)(4th), Johann Momberg (EP)(2nd).
