Dave's observation. Some of us have been running the Evergreen Parks and Rec races for many years (many, many years.) In the past, they have been low key affairs with little fanfare, no t-shirts, low price. There has been a change in the "management" and it now appears that the races are a bit pricier. I liked much more the $5 races with the popsicle sticks that identified your finishing place. I don't need any more t-shirts, thank you. I ask whether for $25/$30 a race, what we are getting. But I am still willing to support them and give it a try. Here is there information: The Evergreen Parks and Rec department is staging a series of timed trail races this summer. The first in the series is a 9.1 mile race June 6th at Mount Falcon starting at 8:00 AM. Entry Fee is $25 in advance; $30 on Race Day. Website address is: http://www.finishlinetiming.com/races/Evergreen_Trail_Series/mt_falcon.html The second race in the series is an 11.5 mile race at Evergreen Mountain on July 18th starting at the West Alderfer Ranch trail head, again at 8:00 AM. Entry fee is $30 in advance, $35 on Race Day. Elk Meadow starts at 9:00 AM and Bergen Peak at 9:20 AM. Entry fees are Elk Meadow: $25 In Advance / $30 Race Day; Bergen Peak: $30 In Advance / $35 Race Day.
