A low fog greeted Doug, Jim and son John at Central Park. The youth method of scoring was used where John picked a drive from one of the other players and started from there with his 'second' stroke. Everyone managed to score a deuce on the first hole. Doug garnered another deuce at the second hole. at hole three over the water, Jim launched one of the best drives of all time to within five feet of the hole. Doug launched an errant drive that turned right, missing the water, and landed on land. On the second shot across the water, he threw too soft and didn't make it across. A little arm wading in the pond reclaimed the floating disc, but left a bit of goose poop on his pants. The third shot over the water finally cleared and the fourth shot hit the sign for a five after the penalty (so much for the early deuces). Doug started a comeback on the next hole with a long deuce to the lamp pole. Doug also managed to only par on hole six. Doug sputtered again on hole seven as his drive fluttered softly into a fir tree for another penalty. Hole nine found everybody rounding the bend with a deuce. Jim's three deuces were tempered with a single bogey for a 25 at the turn. Doug's four deuces were wiped out by two 5's, giving him and even par 27. John was close with a 29.
Hole ten found everybody landing in the parking lot for an O.B. No pars showed up on the score card until hole thirteen! Jim double-deuced holes fifteen and sixteen, and everybody limped home with a bogey on eighteen. Jim's 30 on the back nine gave him a 55 for the round, the best of the group. Doug's 31 left him with a 58 overall and John finished with a 65.

Congratulations to Jim Hauer, as winner of the week
