The first Saturday of official Fall brought Doug, Sam, Jeff and John to Rengstorff park. Sam had trouble with the mandatory on the first hole. John got off to a slow start with three straight bogeys. Jeff took the early lead with three straight pars. Doug hit the first deuce at hole five. Nobody made par on the log hole six. John and Doug hit for deuces on the pillbox of hole eight. Everybody struggled at hole nine, with Sam fairing the worst, with an over the fence for O.B. After nine holes Doug barely got under thirty with a 29. John and Jeff had 32, and Sam was at 34.
After everyone parred hole ten, Doug and John deuced hole eleven. John was the only player to par hole twelve. Doug deuced hole fifteen with a long shot under trees while kneeling. Sam scored the final deuce deuce of the day at the flag pole of hole eighteen. Everybody got mostly pars on the back nine. Doug and John were one under par at 26, Sam and Jeff both had 29. Doug's lead at the half way mark held up as he scored 55. John had 58, Jeff had 61 and Sam had 63.
