Five players arrived at the always popular Vasona Park course, Doug Korns, Eric Mickelson, Rich Norris, Jim Hauer and his son John. Doug took the earley lead with a par on hole two, while the rest got bogeys. Eric and Rich got the first deuces of the day at hole four to catch up. Rich and Doug bogeyed hole five as the rest parred. A deuce frame for everyone occurred at hole eight and Eric closed the front nine with a deuce. Eric held a two stroke lead with a 26 with the rest a stroke or three behind.

Eric a string of pars on the back nine to maintain his lead. Jim Hauer also produced a string of pars to tie with Rich at 56. Doug struggled with several bogeys, but stayed under the undesired 60 mark, barely. Young John Hauer, after including his handicap of one per hole recorded a nice 45.

Congratulations to Eric, who was the only player under par on Vasona II.
