A foursome of Jeff, Doug, Chris and Eric gathered at Golden Oak on a sunny morning. Hole one was a nemesis as everyone bogeyed. At hole two Chris had a high drive caught by a tree for an OB. Doug sailed over the park boundary fence for an OB on hole three. Eric rolled his drive into the street on hole four. Chris nailed a 60 foot approach to a skinny tree for first deuce of the day. Jeff was trying to play consistent and stay out of trouble, claimed a deuce at the 4x4 post on hole seven. After nine holes, the scores were tight with Chris at 30 and everybody else at 29!

Doug scored his first deuce of the day through the legs of the tower at hole thirteen, but followed it up on fourteen with an OB in the street, followed by a missed putt for a 6. He redeemed himself on fifteen with another deuce, but Eric feeling he suddenly had a chance after Doug's 6, began a string of three deuces starting at 15, to distance himself from the field. Chris closed out with his third OB of the day on the final hole.

Eric's 24 on the back nine gave him a par 54 for the day. Doug finished at 57, Jeff had 61 and Chris a 62.
