John Davis welcomed Doug, Sam and Jeff to his home course at La Colina. Doug turned a great drive on hole one into the first deuce of the day. Jeff got caught by the O.B. on hole two. Playing experience at hole three gave John a par on hole three, while Doug and Sam went O.B. as John picked up at least two strokes on everybody.Doug and Sam managed deuces at the big rock on hole eight. At hole nine, Doug followed a good drive with an O.B. in the street, bungled a putt and finished with a triple bogey as everyone else parred. After nine, John held the lead with a 30, Doug and Sam both had 33 and Jeff 38.

Doug and John scored deuces on hole twelve and Sam made a long putt for a deuce on hole thirteen. Avoiding bogeys turned out to be the goal as no further deuces were recorded. Doug won the back nine with a 28 and a 61 total, but it wasn't enough to overcome John's half way lead as John finished with a 59. Sam had 64 and Jeff had a 73.
