Five players met at Lakewood park Doug, Sam, Jeff, Eric, and Chris. Eric set the pace for oddities of the day by opening with a drive on hole one into the street, OB. Both he and Doug thought this was the first time the street had ever been a factor on hole one. His recovery shot left him in a tough position behind a park building. His attempt to clear the building was short and ended up on the roof. A boost from Doug saved this disc two, but it was an ominous start with a double circle 7. The first deuces appeared on the score sheet at hole five as Doug and Eric capitalized on long drives. A hungry tree captured both Chris and Sam's drives on hole six. Chris was low enough to recover, but Sam's was never seen again. At hole seven Eric's drive landed in a tree, but three tosses of his bag at the branch freed it. Doug threw an unintentional roller, that rolled in range for an easy deuce. At hole nine Sam again found a tree on his drive. Doug and Chris turned long, accurate drives into deuces. After nine, Doug had 24, Sam 30, Chris 31, Eric and Jeff had 33.

At hole ten, Doug nailed a 35 yard approach for a deuce. On hole ten, both Doug and Eric got in range for deuces with long drives. Eric decided this was a good note to end on as he had to bail on the round to get to his son's T-Ball game. Sam lightened his golf bag with another lost disc to a tree on hole twelve. Bad luck continued to plague Sam as his drive on hole thirteen rolled into the street. Meanwhile Doug converted a decent drive into another deuce. At the fire pit of hole fourteen, Doug floated in another deuce. Sam claimed the last deuce of the day at hole sixteen with a long forehand deuce. Chris was the outright winner of hole seventeen, with a par.

Final tallies found Doug with a stellar 48, Chris had a decent round of 60, Sam had 63 and Jeff 67.

Congratulations to Doug as Winner of the Week
