Four players, Nate, Chris, Jim and Doug met at Foothill I. Nate jumped out to an early lead with a deuce on hole one.Everybody bogeyed the long hole two. At the developing bamboo forest now on the fairway of four, Jim lost his drive to the forest and Nate lost his to a roof. And those two guys had the best score on the hole with a 5, while Doug and Chris took a natural 6! After a par frame for all on five, the bogey monster appeared on everybody's score card. Nate landed in a tree on hole nine, but recovered the disc. After nine holes Doug and Jim were tied at 32, Nate had 34 and Chris 36.
Keeping bogeys off your score sheet continued to be the key to success on the back nine. Jim took the lead with a par on hole ten, but gave up the lead on eleven with a five. Doug got the only par on hole twelve to take the lead. Pars by Doug and Nate on thirteen put them close. Everybody managed a par on hole fourteen. Nate closed in on the lead at hole fifteen, with an awesome drive to the lamp pole, stopping just short of an ace. Meanwhile Doug was saving a misdirected drive for a bogey. Jim lost another drive on hole seventeen to a roof. Doug and Nate matched each other on the final three holes. The final tally showed Doug holding on with a 62, Nate with a 63, Jim had 64 and Chris a 70.

Hats off to Doug as Winner of the week.
