A video package of the previous night's Royal Rumble started off RAW.
Vince McMahon Interview
-Shane McMahon introduced the 1999 Royal Rumble winner. All of the
corporation was in the ring to congratulate McMahon. They lifted McMahon
on their shoulders and McMahon stated that he was going to Wrestlemania.
He said that he was not the only one who was the winner of the night, and
he introduced the new WWF champion the Rock. Vince said that since the
Rock came down to ringside during the Rumble match, he would be awarded
the $100,000 in cash. McMahon then said that a well informed source told
him that Rocky didn't get much rest last night since he was celebrating,
and was fearful that he had to defend the title against McMahon at Wrestlemania.
McMahon told Rock that he shouldn't have to worry about that and he has
filed papers that removes him as the number one contender. However, he
reserves the right to name the person that Rocky will be facing at WrestleMania.
Vince called out Austin and told him there was no chance in hell he would
win the Royal Rumble. He said that Austin would never get a WWF title shot
again, and he has ran out of chances. Stone COld appeared on the Titan
Tron. He was live from San Antonio, TX. Austin said the he was going to
WrestleMania to face the champion. Shawn Michaels then appeared and backed
up what Austin said. Michaels said that he was going to protect Austin
from the corporation and from himself. He said that Austin and himself
have been reading over the rulebook and it said that if the winner of the
Rumble is unwilling to go to Wrestlemania, then the runner up gets all
rights to face the WWF champ. He said last night when the papers were filed,
he checked himself out of the Rumble and checked Stone Cold in. Austin
then said that he would rather beat the hell out of Vince than get the
WWF title, so he is going to put up his right for a match at Wrestlemania
with a match against Vince at the February pay-per-view. Austin said he
wants a cage match since Vince likes to run alot. McMahon accepted, and
Austin guarenteed the world that he would beat McMahon's ass at the next
pay-per-view.
An armored car was shown driving up to the arena.
Goldust vs Billy Gunn
- Gunn had his ankle taped once again. Triple H called out Rocky Miavia
and said he doubted he made Mankind say he quit. HHH said Rocky couldn't
make him say I Quit, and challenged him to an I Quit match later tonight.
HHH said to bring the belt and he would win it. Goldust went for the shattered
dreams early, but the referee jumped in the way. Gunn then mooned Goldust,
who had Head in his corner. Goldust's music started playing again, and
a man came out dressed up just like Goldust, except in all blue. The blue
man grabbed the Head, and hit Goldust with it. Gunn hit the piledriver
and got the pin. The blue Goldust turned out to be the Blue Meanie from
the JOB squad.
Mankind was shown walking through the arena with his head heavily taped up.
Highlights were shown from the Rock/Mankind "I Quit" match from the previous night's Rumble.
The Oddities were in the ring dancing when the Rock's music started. Rocky came down the ramp and entered the ring. He threatened the Oddities and told them to hit the road before he had to lay the smack down on them. The Oddities quickly left the ring. Rocky said he was the WWF champ again, and the crowd could chant their Rocky Sucks chants all they want. He addressed Triple H and accepted the his challenge for an I Quit match later in the show. Rocky said Triple H had never fairly beaten him. Mankind was shown on the Titan Tron asking the armored truck attendants where Socko was. Mankind then stole the $100,000 dollars Vince planned on giving Rocky. Mankind took the money and went to ringside with it. Mankind came out to a good pop from the crowd. He told the crowd to give a round of applause to the Rock because he had the WWF title. He also told the crowd to give him applause cause he as the Rock's money. Mankind then gave away some of the Rock's money to the crowd. Mankind said he felt like hell after the match last night, and he also felt like something was wrong. He said he did not remember saying the words "I Quit." Mankind said he woke up early and went to the production team. He started with Sunday Night Heat where he was interviewed saying "I Quit" several times and Shane McMahon thanking him. He then went to the Royal Rumble where a package was shown where Mankind was not quitting when asked by the Rock. Then, he went to where he said I quit. Mankind said the words sounded identical to the words he said on Heat, and he didn't win the match. Mankind then gave some more of the money away. He said he had an idea for Halftime Heat. He demanded a match during Halftime Heat against the Rock. He said that he wanted a match in an empty arena, and he would beat Rocky's ass all over the place. Rocky accepted the challenge, and Mankind threw away some more of Rock's money before he left.
Minion came out and talked to Jerry Lawler, mumbiling something to the effect of "tonight is the night."
George Steele vs Droz
- Droz told the Oddities to get their asses out of the ring so he could
kick George Steele's ass. Steele ate a turnbuckle, but Droz rolled him
up for the pin. Droz snapped after the match, and beat up three referees.
The rest of the Oddities came down to make the save for George Steele.
Pat Patterson, Gereld Brisco, Ken Shamrock, and Bossman were shown in the locker rom. Brisco and Patterson made Shamrock and Bossman drink some Salt Peter to get their minds off Debra.
Interview with Debra
- Sexual Chocolate came out and said no woman could turn him down.
Debra said she might take him up on his offer.
Tag Title Match
Shamrock and Bossman vs Owen Hart and Jeff Jarrett w/Debra
- Highlights were shown before the match of Debra distracting Shamrock
and Bossman, with Hart and Jarrett getting the win on a past Heat. Debra
jumped up on the apron during the match and took her top off to try to
distract Shamrock. It did not work, and Shamrock got Hart in an ankle lock.
Jarrett broke it up. the buse Blazer then came out and nailed Shamrock
with a guitar. Hart pinned Shamrock to win the tag titles. This time the
Blazer was a black man, and resembled Mark Henry.
Shane McMahon came down to ringside with Pat Patterson and Brisco. McMahon told Kane that he had been screwing up lately and you should never cross the boss. He said Kane came to the corporate suite last night and apologized for what he had done. He called Kane out to come down to ringside to join him in the ring. Kane came out, and Shane told him the apology was so heartfelt that he should repeat it to the public. Kane got his voice device out and apologized once again. McMahon made him say it a couple of times to embarras him. He then told Kane to get on his knees and apologize. Kane got on his knees and apologized again. Shane once again said it was not good enought and made Kane do it again. X-Pac came out to the ring before Kane could say anything. X-Pac said he had enough of this and asked Kane how much crap he would continue to take for the corporation. He invited Kane to join DX. X-Pac then went to attack McMahon, but Kane stopped him and chokeslammed him. Shane then did the bronco buster on X-Pac.
A WrestleMania commercial was shown, the extravaganza is ten weeks away.
During the commercial break, DX came to the ring and attacked Brisco and Patterson.
The Acolytes were shown backstage with Mable talking with Paul Bearer.
Earlier today, D'Lo took PMS shopping. Terri said that D'Lo had promised to do anything for him, and D'Lo was made to go buy Terri some Kotex pads. D'Lo was recognized in the store buying the pads and was embarrased.
Val Venis came out and unveiled his newest production: Sister Act, starring Ken Shamrock's sister. Shamrock's sister was shown taking a shower with Val.
Val Venis vs Test
- Shamrock came out during the match and blasted Venis with a chair
to the back. Test used a pump handle slam to get the pin. Afterwards, Test
and Shamrock both worked over Venis. Billy Gunn came down and saved Venis,
attacking Test and Shamrock. Venis then attacked Gunn, taking out his injured
ankle.
Hardcore Tag Team Match
Road Dog and Al Snow vs Gangrel and Edge
-Highlights were shown of both Road Dog and Al Snow getting blood baths
from the Brood. Road Dog and Al Snow waited at the entrance way and put
out the fire used in the Brood's entrance. The match went to the crowd
and stayed their early. All weapons were used that either team could get
their hands on. The match went into the ladies bathroom at one point, and
the Godfather's hoes came scraming out. Bluedust appeared and all four
men went through a table backstage. Road Dog and Snow win when they both
covered Edge and Gangrel. Snow got Head back.
The Undertaker's group was shown backstage, and the Undertaker was saying tonight is the night it all begins.
Al Snow and Road Dog interview
- Snow said he had an idea, and Road Dog should give him the best two
out of three for the Hardcore title. Road Dog accepted the challenge. The
Acolytes then attacked both Snow and the Road Dog in the interview area.
The Undertaker and Paul Bearer were shown backstage. Taker was sitting on his cross with a fire lit, and said this would be a war of epic proportions.
WWF World Title
"I Quit" Match
The Rock vs Hunter Hearst Helmsley w/ Chyna
- The Rock tried to leave after taking a beating, but Triple H chased
after him and took the fight to the rampway. Triple H took a hard bump
into the ring bell. Rocky then announced a little on the headset, and told
HHH he was half gay. HHH attacked the Rock and took out the King and Michael
Cole in the process. Rock's lip was busted open after that attack. Rocky
took a spill into the ringsteps that was pretty hard on his shoulder. Triple
H got the ringbell and tried to hit Rock with it, but missed. Rock picked
the bell up, sat it on HHH"s head, and hit the corporate elbow on the bell.
HHH would not quit. HHH nailed the pedigree, and took Rocky outside. He
did the pedigree on the floor. Kane then came out and held Chyna hostage.
Bossman and the rest of the corporation came out and threatened to break
Chyna's neck if HHH didn't say "I Quit". HHH promptly said "I Quit.", and
Chyna was released. Chyna then turned on HHH by hitting him in the balls.
Team corporation then attacked Triple H, and Chyna is the newest member
of the corporation. Vince McMahon and the stooges came out to congratulate
Chyna. Both McMahon's hugged Chyna and the show went off the air.
