98 preseason baumgartner fights

vs. Chad Hocking (CHI)
not many punches thrown in this one, Hocking got in a couple at the end, so i'd give hocking the slight advantage.

vs. Ryan Vandenbusche (CHI)
Baumgartner definitely had the advantage in this one and got a few good shots in. Vandenbushe didn't really land any punches.

Regular Season

vs. Gino Odjick (NYI)
Odjick had taken a cheapshot on Peter Ferraro in the corner, and Baumgartner went after him, after the whistle and dropped their gloves. baumgartner got in an early punch that cut Odjick and from then on, Odjick just held on to him. Baumgartner managed to get in 1 or 2 more punches, but then the referees broke it up. After the fight Odjick was mad and slammed his helmet on the ice, and both guys were trying to get back at each other. Slight advantage to Baumgartner.

vs. Jeff Odgers (COL)
Odgers threw most of the punches in this fight and none of them really landed except for a weak one at the end which caught baumgartner off balance and knocked him down. baumgartner got an extra 10 minute misconduct for punching odgers after the linesmen came in.

vs. Dave Morrisette (MON)
Morrisette had injured Khristich in an earlier game, and Baumgartner went after him in this game. Baumgartner started out by landing 4 or 5 real nice lefts to morrisette's face, then morrisette came back with a couple of hard lefts to baumgartner's head. Then they both started to get tired, but baumgartner still got in a some more punches. Morrisette was trying to throw bombs at the end but they were all missing. Decision Baumgartner.

vs. Tie Domi(TOR)
I didn't see either of the Domi fights, but from what I heard, this was the best of the two. They were both landing punches, and it was a draw.

vs. Tie Domi(TOR)
Domi got an early jump on Baumgartner and was the only one punching. A clear win for Domi.

vs. Mark Tinordi (WAS)
during the brawl with washington, Tinordi and baumgartner paired up after the big pile up in the corner. Baumgartner landed the first good punch of this fight but then Tinordi came back with 3-4 good ones, to get the decision in this fight. For pictures and descriptions of the brawl, go here.
