It looked like this season was going to comletely suck for the bruins. All that they had is Ken Baumgartner. Malkoc got signed by the Islanders, Downey and Virtue didn't make the team, McLaren was still holding out, but all of that has changed. The bruins traded away one of the most annoying players in the nhl(Ted Donato), for islanders enforcer Ken Belanger. They also signed Kyle McLaren and it looks like Cam Neely might make a return to the nhl for the bruins.

REGULAR SEASON
Ken Belanger vs. Paul Laus
about 30 seconds into his first shift as a bruin, belanger fought laus, looking for revenge from laus's KO of belanger last year. Belanger instigated the fight and they both dropped the gloves and fell down a couple of times. Belanger just missed with one big punch but nothing landed in this fight-draw
Darren VanImpe vs. Scott Mellanby
They both kept slashing each other in front of the net, starting this fight. Mellanby got a couple of good punches, VanImpe might have gotten one, but Mellanby gets the decision here.
Darren VanImpe vs. Kirk Muller
VanImpe beat up Muller hitting him with about 4 punches before Muller goes down.
Joe Thornton vs. Mark Tinordi
Tinordi took his second high sticking penalty of the game on thornton and Thornton got mad and knocked him down. Tinordi got up and they fought. Both were attempting but not really landing any punches-draw
BOSTON-WASHINGTON BRAWL
The brawl started when Craig Berube went after Don Sweeney and they started shoving each other. Then Ken Belanger goes after Berube and tackles him. Everybody except for the goalies pile up in the corner. They all get up and Belanger and Dale Hunter start fighting. Belanger nails Hunter with a few and so Hunter hides behind the referee. While this is happening Berube is punching Grant Ledyard, until Ledyard tackles him. The referee is bringing Hunter and Belanger to the penalty box, but Hunter gets away and the referee continues to take away Belanger. Then Byron Dafoe, realizing that the bruins are outnumbered goes after Hunter and they grab on to each other, but dont do much punching. Then Kolzig decides that it is okay for him to get involved and starts skating down the ice, but he gets stopped by Ken Belanger(who still has the referee all over him) near center ice and they fight. Belanger hits kolzig with several punches and then kolzig gets in one punch at the end. Then Dafoe and some other capital come to break up the fight and dafoe and kolzig start to fight with each other, but don't punch. This whole time baumgartner and tinordi had been together, but it wasn't until now that they really started to fight. Baumgartner got in one really nice punch and then tinordi hit him with a few. After that fight gets broken up, Berube looks to fight with Sweeney again, but Ledyard breaks that up. Everybody on the ice gets thrown out of the game, including peter ferraro and ken klee who didn't do anything.
I heard this game on the radio, so I'm not really sure about these fights, but terry ryan apparently went after ledyard and high sticked him, and then they dropped the gloves. ryan got out to an early lead, and then ledyard came back at the end to win the fight
This was a just a little wrestling match, a draw
Simpson got in a couple of punches, and downey didn't really get in any. it wasn't much of a fight, but simpson had the advantage.
Terry Virtue vs. Bob Probert
I've never heard of this terry virtue guy before, but he is really stupid. he challenged probert, and probert didn't seem like he really wanted to fight, but he eventually dropped the gloves. probert immediately started pounding on virtue, hitting him in the head with about 7 or 8 punches. Virtue didn't attempt any punches, but he was trying to duck away from proberts punches, unsuccesfully. Then the officials got in and broke things up before virtue got hurt. Its good to see probert back though.
It looked like Probert was challenging baumgartner to a fight, when downey got in the way and challenged probert. they dropped the gloves, but it didn't look like either of them wanted to go, and no punches were thrown, before the referees broke it up.
