Philadelphia High School City Championships (1938-1980)


Introduction

The Philadelphia Public High School Champion would meet the Philadelphia  Catholic High School Champion every year in Football, Basketball and Baseball. These three annual games would be the highlight of the season in both sports in the Philadelphia Sports region. The series started in 1938 in Basketball and in 1939 in Football and lasted up until the 1980 Basketball Season before disbanding.
