I began tracing my family tree in July 1996. I'd been wanting to for years, but never seemed to find the time. Finally I realized that I didn't have forever to procrastinate because some of my best sources won't be here forever. So, I started asking questions...found out TONS of things that nobody tells the "kids". Stories about people I've known all my life and pretty much taken for granted. Stories about people I never knew at all. I got pretty far with just parents, grandparents, and visits to cemeteries. Then, I started surfin the net and found more still. There's more info being added daily for genealogy researchers, so don't put it off if you've been meaning to do it. You'll never know what kinda nuts you can find on your branches. :)
