1995-96: Marinaro won his second straight League MVP award, the third one in four years this past season. Hector played in 32 of the 40 games for the Crunch, scoring at least one point in every game. He led the League in scoring (247 pts), with the closest player to him being teammate Zoran Karic who had 184 points. Marinaro also led the NPSL in total goals (96), 3-point goals (14), 2-point goals (65), shots (360), game winning goals (8) and restart goals (7). He also finished third in assists with 58. He recorded 20 hat tricks and 3 soccer cycles this past season.

The Crunch forward scored his 400th National Professional Soccer League regular season goal earlier in the year, making him the first to do so in the League's 12 seasons (Marinaro has only played in 4 of them). He scored 200 or more points for the fourth consecutive NPSL season, becoming the only player to do so (Karic - 3 Consecutive seasons, is the only other player to have scored 200 or more points in a season). Hector also recorded his 1,000 career regular season point, making him only the second player to reach that milestone in the NPSL. The Crunch superstar is also second on the all-time U.S. Indoor Goal Scoring list with 686 career goals, 29 goals behind Steve Zungel (715).

In what turned out to be a great regular season for Marinaro, the post season was even better. Hector broke an all-time single season playoff record in total points (101), total goals (45) and two-point goals (30). He ended up with 4 three-point goals, 30 two-point goals, 11 one-point goals and 18 assists in 13 playoff games. Marinaro ended up leading the league in total points, total goals, two-point goals, one-point goals (11), restart goals (7) and shots (160). He was tied for first in three-point goals (4), power plays goals (3) and second in assists (18).

Career: As a rookie in 1985-86 with the Cleveland Force of the MISL, Hector recorded one assist in 5 games before he was released. During the following two seasons, Hector played under Minnesota Strikers Assistant Coach Bruce Miller. During his career, Marinaro has been named Player of the Week and Player of the Month 7 times each and honored as an All-Start 8 times.

In the 1987-88 season, he led the MSL in goals. In 1990-91, he led the league in goals and "Hat Tricks". Hector was the league scoring champ during both championship seasons. The Dynamic Duo of Marinaro and Karic had a spectacular 1993-94 season, as they set 6 All-Time records. Hector led the NPSL in goals (113, All-Time record), 2-pt goals (85, All-Time record), restar goals (22, All-Time record), and game-winning goals. In 1994-95, Marinaro led the NPSL in 4 categories as he scored a point in every game he appeared in.
