1.Your Site:
2.How a site is added to the Ring:
3.The HTML Segment that must be included on your site to join the Ring:
There are only TWO pieces of information you will need, as a result of the submission on the form
which is forthcoming, which you must include in this HTML segment, substituted them from the sample above:
the "mailto:", which should show your e-mail address and the name you use (mine is shown in the sample, and also
shows my name as the link reference...kickboxingluv) and the number shown in the "id=1" portion of the repeated links to
"http://www.webring.org/cgi-bin/webring?ring=femkickfight;id=1; etc etc". These
occur six different times (as there are six separate links that reference your site as a previous,
next, or listed site, by means of this unique ID number... my ID number (1) is shown in the sample
above). The unique ID number for your site will be given to you after you complete the form that
follows directly on the page that you are currently reading. It is VERY important that you make note
of the ID that you are given, and that you include YOUR unique ID number when making the alterations
to the sample which will eventually be included in your site, as otherwise the HTML segment will
direct users to the wrong page and confuse Web Ring's CGI progam! Yikes! :) Also, please take extra
care to ONLY modify the "mailto:" and "id=(your id number)" areas, BUT NOTHING ELSE, or the HTML
may not work properly when you include it on your site!
When the changes are made, the HTML will look just like it is shown in this example, except that the
part that says "owned by Kickboxingluv" will say "owned by (your name)" and when you run your mouse
over the name link, your e-mail address will show in the browser status bar in the lower left hand
corner (and by clicking on that link, visitors can send you e-mail). Also, when you mouse over the
other links, it will look the same as the example below, except that the link will reference "id=(your
id number)", instead of "id=1":
4.The Form
You are here because you are a webmaster or webmistress whose site features material related to women
involved in kickfighting sports (kickboxing, karate, etc) or combat sports in which the female bare foot
is used as a weapon and appears prominently illustrated in its depictions (judo, jiu-jitsu, etc). You
have been invited to join the ring so all visitors to our sites can share of the common resources amongst
us, increase our traffic and raise the visibility of our site. Also, participating in a Web Ring helps
to validate the subject and raise it from a specialized "fetish" to a fully-functioning special interest
community. The hope is that it will encourage more would-be home-page makers to post more of this material
on the web, that it will encourage more women to practice the arts, and be photographed doing so, and
essentiall make the subject more available throughout the web. Nice idea, isn't it?
Also, your sites reflect the utmost respect and good taste regarding the subject matter, in a way that
glorifies, not degrades, the female practitioner of the martial arts, and as such shows respect to women
in general. Our sites refrain from nudity, adult matter, and generally non-topical material. This is
valuable because a web-ring is categorized by content in the same way movies are, and I have started
this Web Ring as a PG-13 rating ring, which encourages larger number of visitors, considering the
average age of the newly-arriving web-surfer. It is important that all sites that join the ring maintain
the standards that we share, in our depictions of women, our adoration of their mighty feet, and the
overall respectfulness of our conduct online. These are the reasons why you have been invited to join.
As ringmaster, I have the ultimate responsibility in deciding who joins the ring, and have configured
the ring in a manner where I must manually add each site once a submission has been made (information
on submitting the site is described in detail later in this page). Joining is very easy: later in this
page you will find a segment of HTML you must add to one of the main pages on your site, or
place in a separate page that is linked to your main page. There are portions of this HTML that must
be modified by hand to include a few pieces of information regarding your page, which you will receive
AFTER you complete a form (which is also contained later on the page you are currently reading).
You must copy the HTML segment example that is provided on this page and place it somewhere temporarily
(copying and pasting the HTML in Windows Notepad for a while is a good way of doing this). Then you must
fill out the form below, recieve the response information that is provided to you immediately after
submitting the form, then make the changes to the HTML you copied. Then copy the modified HTML to your
main page (or place it in a new page which liks to your main welcome page) and you will be ready! When
I have added your site to the Ring, you will be notified by e-mail welcoming you to the ONLY Kickfighting
Females Web Ring on the Web!
Here is the HTML segment that you must change. You may copy and paste it from this box whenever
you are ready, and place it somewhere on your computer so you may alter it when you are finished
submitting the information about your site, and are given a special ID number to identify your
site, later in this process:

So! Now it is time for the FORM!
Very simple. Just fill in the fields with the information requested and when you are done, press "submit".
After that, the information you need to modify the HTML segment (your ID number) will be provided, plus
a confirmation of the password you provided to make changes to your status on the Ring (in case you
have to change service providers or the address of your page changes, etc). The result page you receive
has important information aside from your ID number, so you should write it ALL down!
