Missed

I missed sunset,
a few times I have been on the beach.
This time is especially chilling.
Gloaming dusk came upon the beach houses.
The light house is such a foreign scene
to a city person.
the light beam is breathing in and out.
like the pluse of the night.
I'm here with a few seagulls,
dwelling in the evening wind,
breathing in and out.

Santa Cruz,
I found myself in a different town.
Who knows what's going to happen here?
trees and the ocean as my companion.
Is that a Palm tree?
maybe not, but they sure look alike.

ok, time to stop avoiding the question.
What brings me here?
What will I find?
alomost asked the cute store clerk out today
but I missed that too.
