Days Three and Four -Venice

This is one of those "prove I was there" pictures of me at San Marco in Venice

I didn't think Venice was all that big of a deal. It didn't smell -- like many people think it does. It wasn't all that clean though. All that Venice was was a bunch of water, people and pigeons. San Marco was pretty though.

I took a gondola ride. You can't go to Venice without taking a trip on a gondola. Let me tell you, gondolas are kind of scary. They feel like they are going to tip over every time you move. But they never did. It wasn't all that bad. We got to see a glassblower, and I bought some lace.

Days Five and Six were spent on a boat to Greece. On our way to the port in Ancona, we stopped in Ravenna to see a church with nice mosaics.

The boat ride was a lot of fun. At night the discoteque was opened and for a while we danced to American and British music. At about midnight they started the Greek music. It was fun trying to dance the Greek way.
