I loved Verona. Let me repeat that. I loved Verona. It had a little of the old, a little of the new, and a lot of charm. No wonder Romeo and Juliet was set in this beautiful town. Verona has an arena which is a lot nicer than the Colosseum in Rome. There isn't as much pollution, so the facade has kept the beauty that the Colosseum hasn't.
We saw St. Anthony's Basilica in Padua. This church was very sobering. Unlike the churches we visited in Florence, St. Anthony's felt like a church. In the courtyard of the church is Donatello's famous broze statue, Gattamelata. From there to Venice.
