Days One and Two -Florence

A Florentine skyline

Florence, the city where Michelangelo and Da Vinci painted and sculpted. It is just as enchanting now as it was then. We toured the city, seeing Santa Croce, Piazza de Vecchio, and Opera S. Maria del Fiore. I walked up the cupola of Opera S. Maria del Fiore, but I couldn't make it all the way up because of the height. I have a bit of acrophobia.

Florence was where I got my first taste of Italian food. It's the same as the way Americans make Italian food, so those people out there who have never been to Italy, you're not missing much foodwise. From Florence we went to Venice with stops in Verona and Padua.
