"The Engagement"

Well everyone, after 6 and 1/2 years of dating (on and off), I proposed to Becky last Friday night (August 25,2000)!  Its been a long time coming, I know, however, it was worth the wait, since we are both ready now to take it to the next level! 

I proposed on Friday Night at "Nubble Light House" in York, Maine at Sunset and with plenty of drama of course!  Check out the pictures below!

That's Nubble Light House in the first picture.  I was so nervous prior to "popping the question" that I started taking random pictures!

The Place

Above is the place where I ended up proposing at Nubble.  Its a grassy grotto overlooking the ocean.  The sun was setting and it was here that I seized my opportunity.

Becky Opening her First Card

The first part of my proposal was giving Becky three cards (the first of which she has opened above).  The first card was a funny one, the second one was a romantic one, and the third one was a "Kim Anderson" card where I wrote a poem to her inside it.  After she read the third card, I got down on one knee and professed my love to her and asked her to spend the rest of her life with me and gave her this:
