Q:What is a Web Ring?

Web Rings are simply pages on the internet that are linked together by a common code inserted on each site's page. If you follow the links long enough they will form a circle and bring you back to where you started. You can go from page to page or select a random link and wind up...who knows where!

Q:What is Al-Shi'a WebRing?

Al-Shi'a WebRing consists of exclusively Shi'as Sites featuring the believe of Shiaism on the web linked together to form a library tour. Unlike a simple list of links, Al-Shi'a WebRing will provide a guided tour of all Al-Shi'a sites which are linked together on the Ring. A visitor using Al-Shi'a WebRing will visit the these sites one by one in an order or skip a few sites. The links form a chain and eventually the visitor will return to the first link again because the chain forms a loop. Each Al-Shi'a WebRing site will also have a link back to Al-Shi'a WebRing home page. The diagram below will give a simple illustration on how Al-Shi'a WebRing Works:

Q:Why Al-Shi'a WebRing?

When I first started Al-Huda Home Page, I searched all over the web for other Shi'a's sites and I wanted to get in touch with other Shi'a web desiner as well as adding a link to their Home Pages. Although there are many great Shi'a Home Pages and many which includes links to other Pages but I had to spend a lot of time and effort before I actually found them. I thought it would be a great idea if I could link together all Al-Shi'a Home pages in such a manner that it would be easy to visit all of them in an orderly manner. Al-Shi'a WebRing is the result of this idea. Of course since then, I have discovered WebRing and have decided to use their services instead.

Q:How does Al-Shi'a WebRing work?

Each member of Al-Shi'a WebRing will display Al-Shi'a WebRing button and the links which will allow the user to go to one or more of the following: List Sites, Next 5, Random, Skip Next, Next, Previous, Skip Previous site. The Al-Shi'a WebRing button and links which every member will have to display on their site is shown in the bottom of this page.
