Omicron Kappa was founded on May 5,1996 at Clark Atlanta University by sixteen men of various talented origin. The main founding father of O.K. was Richard P. Muscadin, trombone extrordinare.
The other fifteen founding fathers of Omicron Kappa then were named S.S. 15 O.P.L.E.T., by brother Muscadin himself. Omicron Kappa continues to grow as it ventures out into the world
of child rearing with its five new members.
Following in the traditions and the path of the "Father of Sinfonia", elder brother Ossian E. Mills, and the founders of Alpha chapter; these new members are proving themselves to be worthy initiates of the Omicron Kappa chapter of Phi Mu Alpha Sinfonia.
The brothers of Omicron Kappa participate in almost every musical ensemble imaginable. There are many brothers in the Clark Atlanta University Philharmonmic Society; under the direction of Sinfonian, Glynn Halsey.
Many other members participate in the Wind Ensemble, under the direction of Mr. Sidney C. Sessoms. And still even more brothers participate in the Clark Atlanta University Marching Panther Band, Jazz Orchestra, Concert Band, and gospel choir; the Insperational Voices of Faith.
Omicron Kappa sits "smack-dab" right in the middle of the Atlanta University Center
where there are such great schools as Morehouse College, Morris Brown College,
Spelman College, ITC, and Morehouse School of Medicine.
