Here are some of my original poems and quotes and thoughts. A few have been published and there are many I don't have anymore which I would like to include. For lack of time, I will try and get at least one poem on a day for a while.
Small Sweet Place
In the barn I see,
My favorite place to be.
Small little critters,
Pitter Pitters.
A neigh there,
Sounds everywhere.
In my own space,
In a quiet place.

Growing Up
Growing up is hard to do,
And on some days it isn't fun.
You shall meet new challenges everyday,
As you slowly walk along life's path.
Take each day one at a time,
Don't rush it you see;
Because when you grow up,
You look back and remember,
Your years of childhood,
Your years of youth.

Forever Friends
In good times and bad.
Out of everything we've had.
Through it all until the end,
We've always had a friend.
With hope and despair.
Destruction in the air.
In it until the end,
A good friend.
During win and qualification.
Loss and elimination.
With you in the end,
Your friend.
Through life and death.
As though there is nothing left.
Together in the end,
You and your friend.
From youth to grandparenting.
Friendship never ending.
Until the very end,
Always forever friends.

Sonnet of Young Love
The day I opened my eyes and saw
Your gorgeous brown eyes looking back at me,
I started to melt like ice in a thaw.
You were the handsomest thing I'll ever see.
I wasn't quite sure when you first took my hand,
But your loving grasp made fear go away.
My thoughts were in a far off distant land,
When your sweet lips opened to say,
How beautiful I was in soft moonlight,
Like a small flower in a barren plain.
Those thoughts would ring out deep into the night,
Remembering this time and time again!
How our voices would sound from high above,
Singing of course, the sonnet of young love.
