Seeing what's there

From the window to my immediate left.

I can see the most beautiful thing I have ever seen. A pea green vine, all big curiously shaped leaves and searing purple flowers trained upon a pailing fence, and a wall. A wall of tbe old red clinker bricks of another era, made unspeakably beautiful by the neat juxtaposition of the fence supported vine. At the end of a long day, sitting quietly, gazing at this view I have, I am reminded that I'm happy to be alive.

May I learn to look upon myself with the eyes of understanding and love.
