Tube Allowing a Swimmer to Breathe While Face Down While On the Water's Suface 
Ummm. Yeah. Right. I don't like snorkels. You'll be swimming a long the surface staring into the water and a nice big wave crashes over your head without any warning. Now experienced snorkelers will tell you to just forcably breathe out and you clear the tube or you just let the purge valve do its job. What I have found is this happens just as I have exhaled and am needing air. The result is that I have to quickly stop and try to get my head out of the water to get a breath. Ok, ok. A while ago I typed on one of these pages that I was starting to like snorkels. That's half right. I only half hate them now. When I first started learning to dive, I was told to keep my snorkel always attached to my face mask so it was always available for when I was on the surface. I found that the stupid thing always got in the way and invariably pulled my mask down, thus creating leaks. What I do now is to bring my snorkel with me on the boat and maybe carry it in a pocket if I think I might need it on the dive (unlikely) or just have it to hand so between dives I can swim around snorkelling. Obviously providing the water isn't rough given my displeasure at having waves force water down the snorkel. Onwards we go! When you scuba dive, you need to swim (surprisingly enough) and having a pair of Fins makes this sooo much easier. To prove this you just have to swim around with fins for half an hour and then try to swim without the fins. A Scuba DiverAnd all that goes with him/her. Back to the Start. You know you want to.
