On November 17, 1911, four young men; three students attending Howard University, in Washington, D.C. ,and one faculty advisor, chartered Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, Inc. Eighty-five years later it has become one the largest Black male organizations in the world, with well over 125,000 members in 700 chapters in the United States and abroad.
Throughout its history, the Omega Psi Phi Fraternity has a dramatic impact, as well as have been impacted by its members--many of whom rank among the most important figures in American and World history.
