Que History

On November 17, 1911, four young men; three students attending Howard University, in Washington, D.C. ,and one faculty advisor, chartered Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, Inc. Eighty-five years later it has become one the largest Black male organizations in the world, with well over 125,000 members in 700 chapters in the United States and abroad.

Throughout its history, the Omega Psi Phi Fraternity has a dramatic impact, as well as have been impacted by its members--many of whom rank among the most important figures in American and World history.

The Bruhz & The Bond

The bond between Deltas and Omegas was developed in love.  Soror-Founder Edna Brown Coleman and Omega Brother-Founder Frank Coleman united in marriage and the two sparked a legacy of love, camaraderie and service between the two organizations.  Officially, Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. does not have any constitutional link to any other greek-lettered organization.  However, one does not need legal documents to demonstrate brother/sisterhood to anyone.

And now abideth faith, hope, love, these three; but the greatest of these is love.    --1 Corinthians 13:13
