of Fr. Reg Tiongson

Father Reg's education in the Fine Arts has a more noble and long view purpose - to reach out to more people. He has been inspired and has seen how his art teacher and friend Fernando Sena was able to reach out to the children in Smokey Mountain by teaching art. Father Reg saw this as a strategy the Church could adapt.

Father Reg has just been denied permission by his bishop to continue his education in Fine Arts - and the wisdom behind the decision is not clear to me. But what is certain is that Father Reg has talent and perseverance and I will still hope to see Father Reg enroll at the College again in the next school year, so that his mission to reach out to more people could be realized.
