Israel Thpppt.

rrrrrrrrrr

I love Israel. I really do. But I think they are in a bad point in their history. The country that has been feared, and respected throughout it's fifty year history for its miraculous accomplishments. I think times are changing, and it looks very familiar. Tell me if this sounds familiar. Only the dates and places are different

Fifteen years before, they were in a war that was a tie. They did not get anywhere at it, they got no land, they lost lives, and then they ended it back where they started. The thing was so silly, that one of Israel's greatest military heroes had to leave in disgrace, as he found himself too aggressive.

Then we jump ahead around fifteen years to now. Now, we have people who are jumping out of the military, pulling any crap they can to get out of the army, and singing protest songs that smash the military. The once feared intelligence agency has now screwed up royally, and is blamed for the death of the loved leader, blamed for many of the existing problems, but is at the same time now considered inept.

They are in a war that they can't win. The first leader who brought them into this war was assassinated. The second one had the chance to win another term, but he could not see, nor accept an immediate election. And the third guy, the one who was brought in, because he said he could fix everything, is having such bad scandals, and losing so many lives, that people are asking him to resign.

Now, I love Israel. But what does this sound like to you?

(Note: If you can't see the parallel, ask your parents. If they don't see it, ask me to explain this to you...Hint, it starts with a "V")
