when you need to yell when you need to cry when you need to laugh when you need to talk They don’t judge you or demand some kind of respect Because they are older than you are They criticize you when they see the need to, They do not humiliate you or say mean things to you They are the ones you turn to when you feel down because they listen to you They make you smile, give you a hug And reassure you that everything will be all right They are the ones you want to share every detail of each day with the ones who ask how you are doing and check up on you every now and then they laugh at your dry jokes They are the ones you fight with and make up with later They will always tell you the truth no matter how bitter it is They even make you cry, but they will be there for you when you need them You laugh, you cry, you talk and you yell together They don’t analyze you or try to figure you out They’d rather accept you just the way you are. They are the ones you hold closest to your heart. You’ve made me smile, you’ve made me cry You’ve listened to me, you’ve talked to me. We’ve hung out together, and done almost every crazy thing friends do together.
