Schedule of events

This schedule is not the entire schedule of events for Homecoming 2001. This schedule is a representation of the events our alumni association plans to be involved with. 

FRIDAY: September 28th

7:00 PM Homecoming Kick Off Celebration- This is an event being put on by the University. For anyone who will be in town Friday night, this would be a good event to attend and see what other members of the fraternity will also be there. We will have a group from the alumni association meet there for the festivities. 

SATURDAY: September 29th

10:30 am ALUMNI MEET- Any alumni and their family that are coming to the events for homecoming weekend are welcome to meet outside the alumni house at 10:30 am. This will just give everyone who is coming into town the opportunity to know where to meet everyone on campus at a specific time. There are no specific events planned. Just a general time to catch up with everyone.    

11:00 am ALUMNI MEETING: We will have a brief alumni meeting in Graham building room 313. Because of the weekend's events we were unable to get a room in the business building like we had originally planned. The Graham building is next to the Weatherspoon Art Gallery near the intersection of Spring Garden and Tate Streets. Our main goal for the meeting is to elect officers for the alumni association. In order to vote, you will need to pay or have paid $25.00 annual Alumni Association dues. Checks should be made out to Phi Theta and can be brought to the meeting that day. Please look at the Alumni officers and dues page for further details. 

3:00 PM Greek Alumni Lawn Party:  This is an event being put on by the University. It will take place at Spartan Village, which is next to the Soccer Stadium. Heavy Hors d'oeuvres will be provided and the proceeds will directly benefit the Greek system at UNCG. The cost for this event is 5.00 per adult with children getting in for free. There are more details and a registration form at the ALUMNI web site.

5:00 PM Lambda Chi Social event: Right after the Greek Alumni lawn party we want to keep the good times rolling at the Corner Bar. This has been a traditional hang out for our brothers during their college careers and makes a good place for everyone to meet up during the Homecoming activities. This will not be a Lambda Chi Alpha-only facility like we had hoped, but we figured if we got enough people up there, we would have a great time anyhow.

7:00 Soccer game: A Tradition continues with the  UNCG Men's soccer team taking on Georgia Southern in an evening soccer match. The cost is 5.00 per adult and is always a good time. We will try and get a group rounded up at The Corner bar to head down to the festivities. Please come by the corner bar if you're interested in going to the game.
