Alumni officers and dues
information page
At our meeting in July we brought up two topics which need to be addressed
right away. Those topics were Dues and Officers for the alumni association.
Without these two items in place, the organization would be handcuffed against
moving forward to establish a strong alumni association.
- DUES: What we had decided was that in order to be a full member of the
alumni association of Phi Theta you would have to pay dues. The original
figure that was decided on was 25.00 dollars a year. This money would be
used by the officers of the alumni association to conduct the business of
the alumni association. In order to vote and participate in any events a
brother would have to pay this fee prior to their participation. If you
plan to be active, please bring your dues to the homecoming weekend events or
get in touch with one of the members of the alumni committee for further
information.
- Officers: The committee of alumni who have been working towards the
establishment of an alumni association for our chapter has recommended that
the alumni association use the by-laws that are currently in place. These
by-laws were adopted in a previous attempt of establishing an alumni
association and are a good starting point for this new effort. In those
by-laws there are 4 officers that make up the board for the alumni
association. The titles for the positions are as follows:
- President
- Vice-president
- Treasurer
- Secretary
These are the offices that we are going to use for the next year. Our
goal is to elect the people to these offices at the meeting we will have
during the homecoming weekend events. We are assuming the terms would be a
year for the initial effort with another elections occurring at homecoming
