Titanic, once called the ship of dreams, became the greatest disaster of the early 20-th century. Europe and US were living in the times of economic prosperity, advancements in science and technology previously not seen before. With the new technology in ship building that allowed for massive sea liners like Britannic, Olympic and Titanic people thought that they have conquered mother nature, subdued the greatest obstacle to ultimate human triumph on Earth. They were wrong, dead wrong! On April 15-th, 1912 1523 Titanic passengers and crew drowned in the icy waters of Atlantic. This great tragedy proved once and for all that even "unsinkable" ships do sink and we will never prevail completely over nature. Instead we should adjust to it and make the best of everything. Sadly enough people only begin to think when their lives are in grave danger or a massive loss of life happened. So Titanic's lesson to the whole humanity is that we are still far away from conquering the World and ignorance and arrogance are our biggest foes.

James Cameron's worldwide blockbuster made more then 1.3 billion dollars in sales and received 11 Oscars! Beating every conceivable record after record it became an instant Titanic craze that knew no boundaries of any kind. This huge accomplishment would not be possible without breathtaking visual effects, captivating music and outstanding play by the Kate Winslet and Leo Decaprio. The tragedy and magnificence of the Titanic's love story captivated the hearts and minds of millions across the world, including mine. I personally went to see it twice but I know people that went every single weekend from the date it opened in early December until it finally finished showing in theaters in late May! As far as my opinion concern, I think Titanic is the greatest movie that I have ever seen in my life. In people's hearts it will always stay as an eternal classic of cinematography.
