Ziauddin Medical University has been created to promote the advancement of knowledge in health sciences through excellence in teaching, research, and public service. The purpose of the University is to serve individual students, other institutions of higher learning (primarily within Pakistan), government agencies, non-governmental organizations, and the society at large. Student education and training is directed towards producing graduates who will contribute towards enhancing health education and promotion of a healthy lifestyle in populations belonging to all socioeconomic strata of Pakistan.
Ziauddin Medical University endeavors to develop in each student the virtues and values of humanity, dignity and worthiness; a desire and capacity for critical reasoning; an appreciation and understanding of knowledge of social sciences, biomedical sciences and arts; the ability to communicate; and the skills for acquiring new knowledge and meeting the challenges of exponential growth of information.
The institution focuses on developing the requisites for competence, personal fulfillment, responsible leadership in the professions, sciences, and in public service.
