Creature Feature


The Creature Feature Telecommunication Project emphazised telecommunication, language arts, word processing, creativity, problem solving and cooperative skills. One Creature was created by each participating classroom. Each class then word processed a description of the creature they had drawn. The descriptions were posted by e-mail to the class with whom they were doing the project, and the original drawing was sent to the matched class. Before seeing the original drawing, the class receiving the description attempted to reproduce the Creature, based on the written description. After comparing the reproduction and the original drawing, both drawings were returned to the originating class. By seeing both their original Creature and the reproduction, each class was able to evaluate how well they had written their Creature description.
