n's). The handsome young gentleman on my shoulders is my nephew, Josh. There are more pics

Quite an exciting beginning, huh? It may get more exciting, but don't hold your breath. I
am a prospective high school teacher in south Texas (yee haw) with a desire to clutter up
the web with pages like these that serve very little purpose in the grand scheme of
things. If I were an artist I would put my works here, but I'm not. If I were an author I
would let the world read my writings, but I'm not. If I knew exactly how many licks it
takes to get to the center of a Tootsie Roll pop I would end the debate here and now, but
I don't. What can I do with my page? I don't know, but I enjoy it whatever it is. So,
unlike many other web authors, I make no claim to be privy to some great philosophical
truth that must be spread through humanity to increase the enlightenment of all mankind.
Of course, I am always working on that damn Tootsie Roll Pop so keep checking back...just
in case.
With all that out of the way I can get on
with the business at hand. Hmmmm...where to start? How about after high school. I attended
Texas A&M University in Galveston
and received my Bachelors of Science in marine fisheries in 1995. Instead of moving to
Alaska and counting fish for the government, I chose to continue my education. I began
graduate work at Stephen F. Austin State University in
Nacogdoches (pronounced nac-a-doh-chess), Texas.� After far too long I reveived my
teaching certification and began the hunt for the perfect job.� I chose to return to
the place that I have learned to call home:� Galveston.
I spent most of my "adult" life on Galveston Island on
the Gulf Coast. Life in Galveston is laid back...like me. I have begun my teaching career
at Stephen F. Austin Middle School (must have been a popular guy with all the schools
named after him *g*) teaching 6th grade science. I am also the school's PC Coordinator
(read as "Computer Stud" or "Computer Geek" depending on if you
believe Scott Adams' predictions *g*).� By the way, there are better quality pictures
of Galveston around, but the picture shown here was the first time I had set foot on
Galveston Island. Even with it looking like that I still went back *g*. The beach actually
looks better, but it was taken with a disc camera (yuck!).
