Rainbow Serpents

Of The Rainforest

Another Kimmers Creation

Welcome to the Rainforest best kept Secret.... Til now..

Setting: The Dense Rainforests of South America.

Story: "For thousands of years, this rare creature has been protected by the dense forest. They lived tranquil lives never knowing people. When the forests started to be burned and over harvetsed by corportations, these creatures exsistance became threatened. They have no fear of people and approached them, when the destruction brought them near. However, this became thier folly. Thier brightly colored skins became the talk of the fashion world and so the hunting began. They are being mowed down in large groups. This type of hunting is quickly sending the rainbow Serpent towards being endangered. Kimmers has put these creatures under her care with hope of protecting them from becoming extinct."

Rainbow Serpent Stats:

Size: Females get to about the size of a large Tom cat. Males grow to the size of a small cat.

Blood: These are a cold blooded creature. They bask in the sun to warm up and burrow beneth the grown or sit in the shade to cool off.

Breeding: Lizards Breed for life. However, males can have up to two females. When they breed, the lizards will lay 4 eggs. The shells are soft and leathery, but do harden over time. Not all the eggs will hatch. There is a chance that one of the four eggs will be a dead egg.

Feeding: Rainbow Serpents are Omnivores. This means they will eat both meat and greens. They look at worms as a good treat and love to get a strawberry now and then.

Personality: They are a social reptile. They are friendly and are not dangerous. Very few are poisonous, but those are a mutation. They are not overly intellegent, but they are trainable, much like a monkey or a dog. They love attention, and are happy soaking in warmth from your lap.

Genetics: They are a mix of a large variety of reptiles. Please click HERE to learn more

The Hatchery: This is where eggs are brought to be hatched, away from the poachers and predators. Eggs are obtained two ways, found in the wild, and via extended breeding. They are placed in leaf filled trays under heat lamps. They spend 5 weeks here til they hatch. From there they are taken to the Nursery. The Nursery is a few hundred acres of fenced rainforest. Here they live until they are old enough to be adopted out to good owners.

How to Adopt From the Hatchery:

1. Orchard Message Board Giveaways: At various times and days, I will be giving away Serpents that I have drawn and colored. So keep an eye open!

2. Extended Breedings: Now and then breedings will be offered. Once the owners of the lizards pick the ones they want, they rest will be put up for adoption. I will post it to the Orchard board.

3. Trade: Yes, you can get a semi-custom or non-custom serpent from me in trade for something you make. When you wish to do a trade, Email me with the dominate genes you want, I will fill in the rest. You can pick One-three color, I will play with the pattern and other colors. I have the right not to use a color I do not think fits. No trades for mutations. Right Now Trades Are OPEN
