25 years old. Born near Chicago, IL. Moved to Texas in 1985. Currently working for TXCN, a cable news station for the state of Texas as a Director. I'm so happy to have met Kyle, we are so much alike and love to act silly together.


ABOUT KYLE
24 year old native Texan (also lived in Minnesota), currently working for a structural engineering firm. Also currently working on my Bachelor's in Civil Engineering. Tickled to death to have met such a beautiful and well-rounded young lady such as Cheryl, and look forward to spending many many years to come together.
 

HOW WE MET
After moving back to Dallas Cheryl found out that we had mutual friends. Our eyes crossed once, not knowing whom the other person was. Kyle happened to be sitting with a bunch of Cheryl's old friends at a karaoke bar, and we introduced ourselves to each other and hit it off from the start! By the way, Kyle has a wonderful singing voice!
 

WHEN WE GOT ENGAGED

HOW IT HAPPENED
Cheryl will tell you this story: Kyle went all out for my birthday! He told me to dress my nicest, so I did. He took me to this nice Jazz club, after having scoped the place out beforehand. We sat down in this huge secluded booth with a wonderful view of the stage. The waiter knew him and was very pleasant. Kyle impressed me when he was quick to decide on a $65 bottle of wine, which happened to taste excellent. After some dancing and drinking and some more romancing, Kyle got up to go to the restroom, and he took his mothers gift for me with him. He said he didn't trust me. I was wondering if he might be up to something, but I didn't know what. When he came back I was able to open the present. (Not knowing he had put the ring in his pocket which was closest to me, so he had to keep his hand on his leg.) We then got up to dance and then Kyle changed his mind (he chickened out), so I told him, ok next slow song. So then he gets me up during a fast song and I said, "but this isn't a slow song!?" But then he pulls me back to him and gets down on his knee and proposes! I started crying the instant he got down on his knee! The jazz singer was in the middle of a song and was like "You better say yes girl" I turned around and nodded yes. She then congratulated us and announced it to the restaurant and sung a song for us. It was so wonderful! Kyle made sure that every detail of the night was perfect, even sampled the wine beforehand to find a perfect one. It was all too romantic! He had also asked my parents permission a few days before and told his mom about it, so they were waiting for a phone call that night from us.
