Benjamin was born on 7th April 1982, to Charles Watson and Pauline James.
In June 1989 Benjamin left the matrimonial home with his mother and younger sisters.
Later that year Benjamin decided to live with his mother and sisters. Custody of the children was given by consent to Pauline.
 
On Wednesday, 31th March 1999 Justice Robinson denied leave to make a further application for contact and residence. This decision will stand until the children reach 18 years of age and the Family Court of Australia has no jurisdiction. Justice Robinson ordered that her decision should not be published.
